Multitasking Typing Game

Many believe that multitasking could get things done faster and more efficiently. However, lots of evidence refute this claim in that this practice adds more stress, time, and call for mistakes. To demonstrate this task, I created an easy typing game that shows how effective multitasking really is in action. The typing game is simple, there are two phrases that needs to be typed

For the next test, you must write each letter then the sequential number then letter until finishing the sentence. This simulates a 'multitask' of writing both phrases at the same time.



After completing the tests, it will turn out that the second test is fairly harder than the first. This is because our cognitive load can only process smaller tasks at once, as working memory allows us to process the information (in this case, the letters) at simpler intervals.

On the other hand, multitasking will overload this process - and create more room for error.
