Blog #3 - Site Update

Initially, I planned my site to be simple and sleek. I still continue to make my site that way. I believe that a simple, yet effective website that gets to the point is the best way for the viewer to get straight to the ideas.
For my update I decided that being TOO simple may become a bit boring to some people. So - for this update, I concluded that I update the site on a couple of things for my midterm.
Added a motion background
I added a motion background as a way to put up some eye candy for the viewer. The visuals in the background will ease some of the boring, simplistic pictures and texts that are shown in my webpage. However, the background may distract the viewer from being able to read the text (text blends in with background), so I decided to make the background box of the text to be slightly visible, to ease the eyes.
Added a new project
After initially making my website, I forgot the add a video that I directed and filmed for my High School project. I decided the add it in now. It was a music video that I made for my class, and I am very proud of it. I hope that you will also enjoy it.
Tweaks to the Portfolio Page
The final major change that was done was to the Homepage. The portfolio boxes were a bit too small, and looked a bit insignificant - so I made it a big larger and more prominent to let it fill the page. Hovering over the picture will reveal the title of each respective project. On the bottom of a page my contact information is also available.
The main point I was looking for in this website update was sleekness, and fluidity. I believe nowadays that viewers want simplicity, and ease of access. I aimed to make it so with simple pages and text so that anyone could access all of the site.
I hope you will enjoy it! - Raxa
